GenCon Day 2 with Terror Below and Beautiful Terrain

VERY late in posting my updates. Apparently gaming all day until 1am precludes being a functioning human being at night. While Thursday was my shopping day and I spent WAY too much, I spent Friday playing games and checking things out. I want to do a full review of this in the future, but I was at the launch party for Terror Below by Renegade Game Studio. For those of you who remember the movie Tremors, this is loosely based on the franchise.
Players are trying to find WORM eggs to deliver for victory points and equipment. It's a lot of "take that" from other players and trying to clear away rubble that slows your progress. I picked up my copy of the Kickstarter version from the booth and it came with some upgraded wooden tokens and this sweet resin worm.
I'll do a full review in the future as I can't wait to get this to the table again.
Another game that I will do a full review on later is an older title, Century: Golem edition by Plan B Games. This is a fun little deck builder and easy to pick up. We played 4 players and despite triggering the end game, I still only managed to come in 2nd. I had thought about getting this and, after having played it, I think it is back o my list for good Gateway games. The art is also very family friendly so I think it should be a staple for the family home.
Finally on my list of these are just too damn cool and I had to show them... two terrain boards for a new miniatures game. I don't remember the name of the game or the company, but these were impressive to see. It looks to be another big army miniatures game.

Final thoughts on Day 2, GenCon is a HUGE event. If you plan on registering for several games, you'll probably not see all that there is in the vendor hall (I had events scheduled from 11am-1pm and 5pm-1am and also needed time to eat). I did a final walk around on Sunday and found little booths that I missed my first time through. But if you miss something, don't worry about it. The idea is always to go and have the best time possible. If that means playing in scheduled games all day and just shopping on Sunday, then do it.
